I don’t know about you, but what started out to be a great idea to exchange news, updates, and to socialize has become a big SPAM dumping ground. I follow a lot of tweoples to stay informed on the latest trends on BlackBerry’s, but lately they have been nothing but spammers!

I can deal with followers that are straight up spammers, I just don’t follow back. It is my network of Twips that has been getting to me.
• #what#is#this#all#about? Seriously! What is with all the #? Try a few less#!
• Buy pizza at Tony’s! Really? Tony is in San Diego, I am in Boston! Spamming me ads to earn a few bucks? Use Twit for what it is for!
• I did a return follow to a prominent site and got back a DM that really blew me away:
                    o Thank you for following (removed)! Find out how twitter paid my monthly car payment. GUARANTEED! (url removed)
• Join this list and get ranked. I am #X. SO WHAT!!
• Follow me! Are you that lonely that you need a massive Twit list of fake followers? Is it a status symbol to have a lot of followers?

I know I can UNfollow, but the people I do follow have great Twits or at least they did! It is the constant other junk that is polluting my Twitter and is a waste of bandwidth…IMHO!

Why haven’t we announced the winners yet? We do have emails out to the 3 possible winners and wait for further info so we can verify that the contest rules were followed. Some of the possible winners didn’t give us their Twitter or FB names, making this difficult.

I have finally figured out why Twitter is popular. I’m sure most of you are like me and sometimes wonder what your neighbor, co-worker or even your spouse is up to. You thought about going thru their trash like you see on the movies but either that is too disgusting or you don’t relish the idea of serving time in jail. Wire tapping isn’t that disgusting but most of us don’t have the knowledge and would have to hire someone and it could also land you in jail. So how can you can legally find out what someone is up to. If they have a BlackBerry and use Twitter you can be following their every movement in no time. First of all you have to know their twitter name and once you have it you can look them up and select follow to start following them. However, it won’t work if they have their tweets protected or “locked”. You can tell this by looking at their online profile which will have a picture of a lock beside it. There are a few things you need to do before you start to follow them. Most importantly you need to select a twitter name that would not be easily connected to you. For instance my family knows that I use Scarlett for almost everything so that would be a dead giveaway. Don’t use a maiden name or your favorite aunt or one of your children. Second, don’t select show my location. That would also be a dead giveaway if you are at home or work. And be sure to lock your tweets so they can’t see you. Once you start following them you will be able to see any tweet that is posted by the person you are following unless they post a direct message to someone else and then only the other person will be able to see that message. Now the fun part begins, anything they tweet you can retweet which opens it up for anyone following you to be able to see as well the the person whose tweet you re-tweeted. If you really want to have some fun you could send that person a tweet and strike up a conversation. Find a subject you are both interested in to find out what they are up too. A word of caution, this might appear to be exciting but could also be dangerous. You can’t always be sure the person you think you are tweeting with is really that person and by no means should you ever make arrangements to meet someone you don’t know. It is much the same as on-line chatting and dating. While it might be fun to find out things and spread rumors or find someone you feel you have a real connection with you are both hiding behind a facade. Only when you are able to be your real self in an open and honest relationship will you find the happiness you are looking for. Twitter can be a great social networking tool but it must be used with caution and respect. Leave the spreading rumors and snooping in the movies where it belongs.

WordPress app has been available for BlackBerry from quite a time with beta version but yesterday they have released official version 1.0 for BlackBerry that’s also support to upload images and video as well. It does support both wordpress.com as well as self-hosted wordpress (2.7 or higher). The highlighted features are

• Ability to record and upload videos from your phone. We now support both 3gp and 3g2 formats on older generation BlackBerry devices.
• Introducing support for the HD video service VideoPress.
• Streamlined UI and functionality relating to comment moderation
• Overall enhancements to the speed and stability of the app
